Spain visa processing time from Bangalore: about 14 days right now
Spain visas from BLS Bangalore are taking about 14 days right now. Most passports from applications made on 4–8 Sept 2026 are now out. People who applied 1½ to 3 months ago waited about 4 days (median), 9 in 10 within 13 days.
Based on 2,165 passports we've seen dispatched by DTDC · Updated
Anyone waiting for a Schengen visa from India who wants to see how fast the embassies are returning passports. We show overall progress from courier data. We can't show the decision or status of your own application; for that, use VFS tracking or contact the embassy.
From DTDC's public tracking. BLS sends passports back by DTDC, and each shipment carries the applicant's BLS reference number, which follows a fixed pattern (city, application date and serial). We check references in that pattern on DTDC's tracking page several times a day, so every passport listed here is a real, dispatched shipment. You can check any of them yourself with "Verify on DTDC".
It's the latest application date for which about 70% of a typical day's passports have been dispatched. Some people who applied on or before that date are still waiting, so it isn't a cutoff.
Your reference number contains your application date. For example, NLDBLR170826004901 means Netherlands (NLD), Bangalore (BLR), applied 17 Aug 2026 (170826), serial 0049, first person on the file (01). Under "By application date", tap your date's bar to see every passport dispatched from that day. Switch to Boxes to see which serial numbers haven't been seen yet.
Each box is one application, numbered by the 4 digits after the date in the reference number. Green means at least one passport on it has been dispatched. "Not seen yet" is a number below the highest one dispatched that we haven't seen: that application may still be with the embassy, collected in person, withdrawn, or the number may never have been used. "Possible on a busy day" (dashed) is a number above the highest one seen, up to how many applications the centre takes on a busy day, so it may not exist at all.
The embassy doesn't work strictly in date order, and each day's applications go out over several weeks. So later dates moving doesn't mean yours was skipped. See what applicants found →
In calendar days, weekends and holidays included, from the day you applied at BLS. Under the EU visa rules the embassy should decide within 15 days, and can take up to 45 in individual cases. Applicants report that embassies rarely answer questions about an application before day 45. Answers from applicants at the 45-day mark →
Usually, yes. Many applicants see EES turn OK a day or two before VFS or the courier shows anything. Check with dates inside your planned trip: outside your visa's dates it shows Not OK even when you have one.
Not on its own. Applicants here have received approved visas while EES still showed Not OK, and others saw it turn OK only the day after their passport was dispatched. The decision is in your passport, so wait for it. Read what applicants saw with EES →
It happens rarely, usually when the courier record is missing or late. If that's you, with your reference number and we'll look into it.

🙌 Helpers of the week (10–17 Oct) Thank you to the people who took time to help others this week: 1. Krish walked Rushil through the EES check step by step: which dates to enter, where the passport number goes, and what OK can and can't tell you View comment → 2. HK shared the Dutch embassy's phone number and how the call works once 45 days have passed: they raise a signal, and you call again if nothing comes within 10 days View comment → 3. random_pelican shared the NetherlandsWorldwide number, and that they can't do anything before 45 calendar days View comment → 4. Aayush kept Swiss applicants posted: EES turned OK one day, and the passport was dispatched the next View comment → 5. DS got a Swiss visa while EES still said NOT OK, a reminder that NOT OK doesn't always mean a refusal View comment → 6. NM came back with a full timeline: a multi-entry visa after 46 days, no email from VFS, and a reminder that waits close to 45 days are normal right now View comment → 7. SD found that EES showed NOT OK with no dates entered, and OK once the arrival date was filled in View comment → 8. Divya explained that you can email VFS to switch from courier to self-collection (about ₹850), which is usually faster View comment → 9. daisy told a worried group that she applied on 4 Sep from VFS Mumbai with no travel history, and got her visa on 3 Oct View comment → When you're anxious about your passport, a reply from someone who's been through it means a lot. 🙏
I applied on 6th october 2026, I have to attend a conference on November 17th in Netherlands. Will I be able to get my visa by then?
Hi, what conference are you attending? I am also traveling to attend a conference in Netherlands. Applied for visa on 21st September, no update as of yet.
If the lag time reduces by this week then you can take chance of waiting which i doubt as again tomorrow embassy is not working. Or you can withdraw and apply from other Schengen country with less lag time. May be France or Germany.
Passport is on the way to VFS Bengaluru since Friday noon (Swiss), where I will collect it! But my reference number below in this site is grayed out!! Is this expected for VFS collection?!! 👀👀
Passport application date 28th September, reached embassy on 30th September. Dispatched from switzerland embassy today. But EES still shows as NOT OK. When can i expect the EES status to be updated?
refused :/ they mentioned that the intention is not clear even though i mentioned everything
ohh :( might be the same for me then
Why are there no passports dispatches or Pune on 9th or 12th to any later dates? I applied on 9th oct for Switzerland visa, I see a lot of other cities have processed a few from the same dates but just not Pune.
I applied for a tourist visa for Switzerland on 28th September, reached embassy on 30th. By when do you think i can receive the approval? I linked the tourist visa with that of my husband's short term work visa. Travel date 17th October.
As per the standard timelines, you should receive it by 20th. But it can get to you quicker too! Hoping for the best!
Dispatched from VFS Delhi today, so hopefully will receive it tomorrow. Really close call.
gave my biometric and documents on 30th Sept, still waiting, had to delay my onward travel got the same swiss schengen last time in 8 calendar days, its been 15 today this time around, still no passport
Hi Anmol, I got message today that my passport is dispatched. My application date was 28th September. So may be this week you will get the update.
VFS just emailed: your application is processed and in transit from the New Delhi Embassy to the VFS Operation Center. Lets see when i can go pick it up
Finally it’s dispatched! It’s been a weirdly fun and irritating journey. The kind of support given by random people you know you will never meet is so real and incredible. Thank you guys so much. Thanks a lot @VisaTrackr keep doing the good work ❤️ (Application date : 1st sept)
I have a question. I applied for a Belgium visa at the Mumbai Consulate on August 28, and my intended travel date was September 20. However, my visa application is still under processing. When checking the EES system, which date should I use?
Hi Anju.. you can use the next intended travel dates. If it says OK most likely your visa is approved. If NOTOK try different dates.
“Is anyone still waiting for the 10th September update?” Thanks!
Update! just received my passport, I got the visa for next 3 years, although EES says Not Ok. (Applied under Orange carpet) Wish you all luck with your applications!
I have had two Schengen visas before [both this year, one for work (March) and the other for tourism (July)]. I applied for a Netherlands visa on September 28, 2026, for work travel scheduled to begin on October 25, 2026, from Delhi, as I have been here for some time. I have an H-1 B, a job in the US, and Canadian PR, so I was hoping the process would be seamless, given my travel history. Unfortunately, there has been radio silence since my application. Any idea what could be the holdup?
Not sure but i believe that very early applications either are the straightforward rejects or maybe the orange carpet
Hi KD as per my observations they are not processing application in orders. I also have valid b1/b2 and canada visitor visa. I have also applied on September 28. Waiting for the response.
Can see that my passport is dispatched now but EES still shows “Not Ok”, Dies that mean visa rejected? Anyone had similar experience?
Hi Ak, EEs not ok doesn't not necessarily means your visa is rejected sometimes it update after day or two. Wait for your passport and let us know.
When does this site gets updated
Every night around 12 to 1 am
Application Date - 1st September Any Updates Guys? 43 days already.
VFS status says my passport is dispatched but here it's not showing
@VisaTrackr how i can check corrier tracking
Hello!once u cross the 45 days marker and when you connect the embassy do they raise a ticket ? If some one can tell me what is the next step.
Really surprised by 14sep applications pace - passport dispatches before and after this day are high but for 14Sep (my application date from Delhi), dispatches remain low.
Same
Just saw the update from 6 to 8 passports dispatched of 14th sept applications. Let's see today guys.
Any idea what time of the day the message appears about the processing of the visa through vfs?
Evening
After 6 pm
I had applied for a netherlands visa on 3rd September and my travel is due to start from 20th Oct. Its been 38 days. The application process also seems extremely random because they’re dispatching passports from my date (3rd September) but doing it at random instead of in a linear way. I am hoping I will get the visa soon tho. but is there a way I can go and do self collection of my passport at the VFS Bangalore office, even though I had not opted for self collection? That may be faster?
No I haven’t received any email asking for any documents. I’m just confused on the steps they follow to choose applications because passports from my date have been dispatched at absolutely random serial numbers. It’s been 38 days now and I’m unsure and anxious of how much longer I’ll have to wait for. 😭 And I know passport comes from Delhi but would home delivery in Blr be faster or self pickup at Blr VFS be faster?
You can email Vfs and opt for self collection. They charge a few for changing from courier to self collection (around ₹850). Yes, collection is generally faster.
After crazy wait , my Visa has been finally dispatched and I can’t thank you guys enough for the detailed updates and responses! @visatrackr team! THANKS a lot and this is the only place where I could rely daily and my continuous tracking ends here for now. Even now VFS doesn’t show any update , after paying so much, all I could rely is on this website. Kudos to you guys ❤️
Congrats!! Onwards and upwards 🤜🤛
On Aug 31st!
🙌 Helpers of the week (3–10 Oct) Thank you to the people who took time to help others this week: 1. am read the dispatch graphs for a business applicant and explained that new Swiss applications are taking about 12–15 working days View comment → 2. TT showed Divya where to check EES on the official EU page, and what OK and NOT OK mean View comment → 3. Ha came back with a full Swiss timeline: in transit, ready for pickup at 3 PM, visa approved while EES still said NOT OK View comment → 4. daisy shared that her EES turned OK the morning after her passport was sent, and the visa was approved View comment → 5. Vikas confirmed a multi-entry visa arrived while EES still showed NOT OK View comment → 6. Divya went to VFS Delhi in person and reported back: the embassy doesn't see applicants, and VFS can only help withdraw View comment → 7. DJ gave calm, practical advice on moving a flight: check the change policy first, then watch the 12:15 AM update View comment → When you're anxious about your passport, a reply from someone who's been through it means a lot. 🙏
Spain visa processing from Bangalore
Spain is one of the most popular Schengen destinations for Indian travellers, with Barcelona, Madrid, and the Mediterranean coast drawing heavy demand. Unlike most Schengen countries that use VFS Global, Spain visa applications in India are processed through BLS International centres, and passports are returned via DTDC courier. Processing times can be longer during peak summer months.
Spain Schengen Visa Processing Time from Bangalore, India
Applications at BLS Bangalore are waiting about 14 days right now, 26 days less than the Spain average across India (40 days). That makes it number 3, counting from the quickest, of the 5 Spain centres with enough recent data. We've seen 2,165 passports returned from BLS Bangalore since 18 Jun 2026, 29% of all the Spain passports we track. Most of them left on Tuesdays and Fridays. The latest dispatch we saw was on 17 Sept 2026, and the newest application date with a passport out is 11 Sept 2026.
Every number here comes from DTDC courier dispatches: when the embassy finishes an application, the passport goes back through DTDC, and we check those shipments several times a day.
